Cheltenham Racecourse Platform 2 - 2nd October 2013

It was the BAG Volunteers turn for helping at Cheltenham today. There were only two bricklayers, and so a small contingent went over to support. Jo sent me the following report and photos:-

5 people at CRC today, including new recruit Brian.

Bob and Tony were on brick laying, with Bob setting out the next 10m stretch, and putting down the first course.

Tony concentrated on reds on the third stretch, putting down one and a half layers. Keith S, Brian and I made up the mixes and assisted the two brick layers by moving materials, splitting bricks and chipping the next length of foundation bare of mortar.

I paced out the current area of activity and measured 30m finished or being worked on. We are getting there!

We also had the visit of Alan Bielby with two representatives from the college to risk assess the site. It looks quite promising.

See you tomorrow!

Thanks Jo!
