Wednesday 13th February 2013 - A visit to Tewkesbury

After a visit to Broadway today I went to have a close look at 3 old railway bridges that are scheduled for demolition, together with the old railway embankment, by the Myth Water Works at Tewkesbury. These are built of many thousands of blue engineering bricks and would be ideal for the Broadway Platforms. I am currently investigating what opportunities exist for a mutually  acceptable arrangement with the Prime Contractor to reclaim  these bricks. Time will tell, but I am hopeful!

More Railway heritage being demolished!! Such a shame, but good for Broadway I hope! I'm hoping Tewkesbury Borough Council/Contracters will have an ounce of sympathy and will let you guys have a few tonnes of the blue stuff!! Good Luck!! :-)

Why must more railway heritage be destroyed? What is the reason for the destruction of the embankment and the bridges?
