Message from our front line correspondent Peter H!
There were 7 at Broadway today and the construction team ( Ron, Steve,Gordon & myself) set about the concrete lump that Neil uncovered.( I think it was one of the foundations of the footbridge). Ron hired a heavy duty kango drill ( boy was it heavy!) and we succeeded in breaking the lump plus the 2 bits of brick platform edge on the embankment on platform 2 together with all but one of the lumps of masonry from the wing wall repairs. We all felt we had done a goods work and the end on the day.
Andy P did more tree felling along the track bed and Chris and Dave found and cleaned more bricks.
