Brick Retrieval 13th March

Much hard work was carried out at Coleford in retrieving and cleaning red imperial bricks, which may be of use in rebuilding the Broadway Station. This is a mammoth task. There are some 4000 bricks available. Each brick weighs an extraordinary 9.2 lbs (about 4 kg in new money) and the need for palleting the bricks for easier handling and storage became obvious. Pallets will be delivered to site before work continues.
