Spent much of yesterday slashing and burning on the west side of the railway cutting. at least 15 metres of dense undergrowth was cut back. The prize for the most determined effort (and sweat!) went to Keith G who single handily dug out the leading edge of the northbound Station Building! No mean task in heavy(and I mean heavy!) clay.
Had a welcome visit from Bernard Dudfield the Estates Manager, initially to establish requirements for chainsaw training, but widened out into many interesting topics. What a pleasant chap he is and so much railway knowledge!
