Wednesday 16th May 2012

A brief report today I'm afraid.  The photographer in chief (Jo) is swanning around France helping to prop up the Euro!
Nevertheless great progress was made on many fronts. Bricklaying began in earnest on Platform 2A. 2 gangs kept up the momentum of work and it will be interesting to put the clock on how long 2A brickwork takes. Needless to say we are cleaning the Wisley Bricks as fast as we can and keeping an eye out for future stocks.

With our Open Evening just 2 days away much tidying up is being done in anticipation of all the visitors we are expecting!!!!!  Above Rod is doing the equivalent of Hoovering (strimming) and below Gord and Rogers fill in the pot holes.

Last but not least Terry and Roger B went over to Winchcombe with the Fairview lorry to collect 2 loads of coping slabs. It was a great job and I think we may have enough for 1B and 2A. Lets hope so!

Finally here is your invitation to our Open Evening  on Friday - its not for anyone else other than you - please come if you can!

It's possible I never will make it, who knows? I just like to know what's going on, that's enough for me.

Q. The bank in front of the trees (I think it's similar on both sides). Is the base of the trunks of the fir trees below the surface level of the platforms? In other words I we looking at partially buried trees?

Howard,
I am sure you will make it one day - never say never!
The trees have been partially buried in the past when the original Platforms we're bulldozed. However we will reverse this when we finally do the landscaping.

It's gone very quiet on the Worcester College lads. Can you enlighten us?

Roger,
They are all behind with their assignments and need to complete these before they can return.
