The construction experts from the Broadway Area Group had a very useful meeting with Darren Fairley(GWSR Director - Properties) and John Baldestone (HOD Bridges and Structures) today to discuss the way forward for Platform 2A. I'm sure that everyone will be pleased that a way forward has been agreed and work effectively starts tomorrow. The next section of platform will be built from the southern ramp end of 2A for approximately 40m, just short of the proposed signal box position. The footings for the wall should be ready to receive brickwork by 25th April 2012. The Worcester College Students will return then.
