Well done to those 240 people who undertook the sponsored walk from Toddington to Broadway and doubly so to those who walked all the way back - a round trip of 10 miles! The Broadway Area Group did their best to welcome the walkers with refreshments. Particular thanks goes to the proprietors of the Old Stationhouse guest house who provided some excellent home made cakes. Having personally drawn the short straw for dishing out the cake, I think over 100 slices deserves a medal , as does my much better half's efforts at serving a similar amount of teas. (the "Let them Eat cake " adage takes on a new meaning) Well done to all the BAG Volunteers who equally did their bit.
