A day of great progress. There were 16 volunteers on site and there were  3 main tasks on the to-do list.

Firstly, Platform 1C - what great progress was made today. It's approaching the start of corbelling height along its full length. Peter Q, Peter H, Clive, Terry and Bob J worked steadily away and you can see the first signs of the northern ramp taking shape.

Down on the Signal Box equal progress was being made, with the southern gable end being brought up to height and three course of bricks laid around the whole box. This included the forming of the brick arches over the front locking room windows. Here JC, Tony and Bob W are bringing the rear wall up to  a common height.  Paul and Steve B were keeping the supply of materials going. It looks so impressive now.

South of the Evesham Road bridge a working party were chopping back the undergrowth along the fence by the Caravan Site. This was probably the most arduous job of the day - not a lot of shade from the sun and an endless amount of work to do! Ron T, Chris H, and Gord drew the short straws!

The only job that came near it  from a sweat factor, was shifting  the bricks around for the brick layers and picking up the blues that were dropped off from Cheltenham. Dave H and Bill V got the  job!

Other than that, Peter T  put a new  internal panel on the door of our new Project Office and Vic continued the stone walling on the driveway. Also, for completeness Gord and I re measured the height of the newly scraped road bridge against the platform height - we now know how much ballast we can put over the bridge when the bridge is repaired!

Finally, a plea to visitors - please don't be put off coming to see us because of the bridge work. We are always pleased to show off progress and the bric a brac shed is overflowing with goodies.

Hi bill. How many inches of ballast do you envisage on the road bridge and through the platforms?

I tried to find you today, but it said the road was closed, so I was rather disappointed

We are perfectly accessible, but from the Broadway side of the bridge. Do come and visit.

What is the latest on the bracket signal? It's installation would be an excellent symbol for the railway and a fitting reward for the people who donated money.

The Bracket Signal Post is being painted. I am sure it's being done as resources permit, but I am as keen as anyone to see it in place at Broadway.
