Work Begins in Earnest

Work started in earnest with both a chainsaw and JCB in action. Also a delivery of fencing (360 meters of rails and 50 posts!) and sand arrived which was secured for safe keeping (quite knackering work). The JCB started the ground cleareance around the old platform and the chainsaw expert removed all the trees and saplings along the perimeter fence, ready for a new fence to be installed. Hard working volunteers cleared the debri for burning on the bonfire
.

The find of the day was the old gents toilet floor urinal. Its quite a mystery why such a find should cause so much excitement, but it did and I confess I was as impressed as anyone - sad or what!
