Old habits die hard and 4 BAG Volunteers ventured out to do a Monday session at Cheltenham.
Guess what? One of them was Jo and here is his report and a great set of pictures:-

Four people
on site today – Bob W, John C, Keith S and myself.
We guessed
the weather would clear by 9am, but the storm was late and it was foul weather
until 11 am, during which time we sat in the cabin and had tea (with
pre-Christmas milk, but if you can’t get what you want, what you want is what
you can get !)
Suddenly
the weather cleared, we made a barrow of black mortar and Bob and John were
off. There was water everywhere, but as we had covered our work before, the
actual bricks were dry enough to work on. Walking up and down the duck boards
surrounded by water made it feel like the WW1 trenches.
As it was a
mixed traffic day, there was much variety, with all sorts of trains passing.
Mostly these were quite full, which made us feel good.
At the end
of the day, we had laid two rows of blues, backed up about half of that, and
laid the penultimate row of corbelling to the foruth section. One more, and
another bit of wall is completed !
Weather
permitting, we should be back for an extra day on Thursday.
Best wishes
for the new year to all our readers,
Kind
regards,
Jo

All credit to you for pressing on with this vital job. Some excellent photos of the trains too! All the very best for 2014 and even more progress.
Excellent stuff, when a train went past you should have rattled a bucket, you never know, you might have got money flying out of the windows!
