Saturday - Here ,There and Everywhere!

A slightly different day today. I arrange an internal meeting for the Broadway Area Group  for all to see and comment on the draft drawings of all of the Broadway Station Buildings, which includes the Station, the Platform 2 Waiting Room, the Toilet Block, and of course the Signal Box. The venue was the Broadway Football Club which I have to thank for their excellent facilities and hospitality. (the small cost was mine as a Christmas treat!)

Dave studying form
The drawings will be submitted to the Board in January and when approved will form part of our planning application to Wychavon County Council

Here John explains it will be cheaper with bigger bricks and I look sceptical!

The drawing have been researched and prepared  by  John Crawford who has recently taken up the position of Head of Building Services (Major Projects). They really are first class.

I must thank everyone who came along today - I hope it gave real sense of  excitement that 2013 will be a great year for the Broadway Project

Back at  base Marguerite and Doreen kept going with business as usual - the Shed looking very festive!

Sadly all Gone!
And finally Jo called in by at Winchcombe to see how the Goods Office Site had ended up.

Bill, fantastic news the plans are being submitted early next year, hope they go through with a nod from the LPA.

Winchombe goods shed is not a forlorn sight as Maidenhead Goods is in; which was of the same era as Winchombe it has been raised to the ground to make way for Crossrail only evidence left is the concrete slab with rail in. That is railways never standing still

Slightly disappointed that as a member of the Friends of Broadway group I knew nothing about this meeting. I would of liked to had a look at the plans.

Andrew,
I'm afraid the viewing was limited to the Broadway Volunteers. The plans have to go through an internal approval process next.
Sorry,
Bill
