Saturday 11th December - Back to Work!

First day back with the Volunteers and what a good day it was! Much good work had been done on the previous day, digging out the surface water drainage behind the new Platform Wall. Work continued today installing the drainage pipework through the Platform footings. Not very glamorous work but very rewarding!

Here are the herring bone channels:-

And here the finished drains heading for the centre drains

And lastly the stalwarts who keep going until the jobs done!  Steve, Peter, John and Dave -Bravo!

I'm following this blog with great interest (GWSR member and shareholder). I wish I was closer so I could help! Please could you upload a picture of the completed platform wall as it is now and tell us how long it eventually has to be. Many congratulations to all involved in the work done to-date.

Best wishes,
Nigel

Hello Nigel,
I have created a small Website www.broadwaystation.co.uk which is intended to give a bit more detail than I can give in the blog. Please visit there and let me know if you find what you need otherwise I will be pleased to mail you additional info.
