Spent a most energetic but enjoyable day with Peter H and Dave B clearing the embankment adjacent to the Station Driveway. Reset the blue bricks around the new sign, and planted 100 snowdrops! Lets hope they grow and flourish. Erected some additional fencing to protect the planted area.
Most importantly of all we were stopped by visitors and passers by and asked many questions about the work we were doing, and the future plans for the railway. The common ingredient in all the conversations was friendliness, praise for the work done so far, and encouragement for the future. To those who are thinking about volunteering on the GWR(and we met some today) I would say "Give it a go" - you will be most welcome at Broadway or any other department on the railway.
